The terms artificial intelligence drives vast and different emotions across people globally. People that are familiar with the term will definitely smile when artificial intelligence is mentioned. Others will definitely say that they have heard the term, but not sure what it would actually represent. We can all agree that Artificial Intelligence is something massive. It is so big that some of the most creative AI infused robots did indeed beat your traditional athlete, and even some of the most established poker players in the industry.
Where Is Artificial Intelligence So Far?
Some of you might remember that 23 years ago, yes you read that right 23 years ago; the world stood still and witnessed an IBM Deep Blue computer, slaughter chess mastermind Garry Kasparov. With 2 plus decades having passed from the downfall of Kasparov, he now states that: ‘’people need to work with machines. You have to nudge the flock of intelligent algorithms. Between the 9th and the 15th of March, 2016, a 5-match chess happened in Seoul that again would shape up history. The match was between AlphaGo and Lee Sedol. AlphaGo won all matches apart from the 4th match. All matches were won via resignation. Both Sedool’s ad Kasparov’s defeats got us asking how bigger is Artificial Intelligence, compared with the human mind? And finally, in 2019 we witness ample matches between world renowned poker players and Libratus. Jason Les, a world celebrated poker player stated that the computer machine is much more powerful than what everyone expected. Funnily enough, whilst all of poker players slept, Libratus spent nights analyzing face expressions for all his opponents, reading facial patterns to be able to detect emotions. If you think that Libratus is just a machine enjoying a lucky stride, think again. Reading your opponents facial expressions and no verbal communication is taking gaming to a whole new level. This makes you wonder, what is next for AI and igaming?
The Future Of IA And Gaming: Here And Now
One of the biggest AI products that gambling has seen in the last couple of years is definitely BetBuddy. This product is designed in a way to evaluate and analyze player gambling patterns and behaviors. All casinos and bookmakers agree that a bad gambler is never good for a casino, and both measures and also procedures are in place to combat and perceive a gambling addiction. So, let’s say that casinos and fraud detection companies opt to implement IA into their everyday routines, how will this impact the overall operational side?
Collecting The Right Information –
The sharing of data is something that a casino needs from a player. AI would simply use the data collected to make sure that the player is not empowered into addictive patterns.
The Epitome Of Support –
Whilst we move to replacing the human with machines, AI CS agents will use all customer data and gameplay patterns to personalize the gaming experience. Dare we agree that humans make conscious choices in what information to use at times?
Raising The Young’s Interest –
Many surveys show that the normal gambler is between the ages of late 30s to mid-sixties. It has been years since the gaming industry wanted to attract the young player. Let’s face it, the younger generation 18+ is not much into gambling. Will this change with VR (Virtual Reality) We all know that VR is one of the most popular elements of the PlayStation 4/ So when VR makes the debut across the gambling spectrum, most probably the younger players will tempt their luck at VR Gambling.
Beating The Online Casino –
AI robots and devices are manipulated in a way to learn more. Look at Deep Blue, Alpha Go and Liberatus, they were all morphed into beating the human. Next time they will be used to be molded to beat the system. The system as in online casinos. Whilst a land-based casino cannot be beating, the online world can. Let’s just hope that we do not get AI demolishing the online casino world. Cause let’s face it. It easily could. New online casinos 2020 should be intrigued yet guarded when it comes to AI.
The Future
AI is still developing. Yet, when it will fall on the online industry, rest assured that a new way of gambling will feature. Personalized gambling, the AI way. This is the future.
